Abstract：Thewaterqualityofriversdischargingintotheseaisaciticalactorinfluencingtheestuarinewaterenvironment，irectly impactingregionalwatersecurityThisstudyasesedthemonthlywaterqualitystatusofmajorriversflowingintotheseaviatePearl RiverEstuaryusingthesingle-factorindexmethod.Targetedimprovementmeasures were proposedbasedonidentifiedexceedance factorsandtheircauses.Resultsindicatethatthecurentwaterqualityofthe1lmajorriversflowingintotheseaviathePearlRiver Estuarin2O24isooptimistic.Themainexcedancefactosaretotalnitrogen，disoedoxygenandtotalphosphorus.heain sourcesofpolltioareurbansewagetreatmentplants，ntegratedsewagetreatmentfacilities，cntralizedtreatmentplantsofdustral wastewater，catereddomesticswageandaquaculturewastewater.TofurtherenhancethewatersecurityinthePearliverEstuary area，itisnecessytoigniicantlyiceasetecolltionndtreamentateofgioalswageandwastewaterfutersictlyotrol thewastewaterdischargefromhighlypolutingenterprises，andvigorouslypromotehealthyandecologicalfarming models．The researchresultscanprovidedecision-makingreferencesforthewaterenvironmentalprotectionandmanagementofthePearlRiver Estuary.
