HowDoes the Digital Business Environment Empower the Upgrading of Industrial Structure?

Abstract:Basedonpaneldata from3Oprovinces (autonomous regions,municipalities)in Chinabetween2O13and2022,this paperconstructs an evaluation index system forthedigitalbusiness environmentandemploysfixed-efects modelsand mediationfectmodels toexamineandanalyzethemechanismthrough whichthedigitalbusinessenvironmentfacilitatesindustrial structureupgrading.Theresearch finds thatthedevelopmentof thedigitalbusinessenvironmentpromotesboththeoveralindustrial structureand internaltransformationandupgrading.Thisefectisprimarilyrealizedthroughoptimizingresoure allocation,enhancing innovationcapacityandfostering assetrepreneurship.Theimpactofthedigitalbusinessenironton industrial structureupgadingexhibitssignificantheterogeneityduetodiferences inlocationalconditions,economicdevelopmentlevels,and internal dimensionsof thedigital business environment.Inthefuture,governmentdepartments shouldincreaseinvestmentinandconstructionofdigitalinfrastructuretofullyunleashthepotentialofthedigitalbusinessenvionment inpromoting industrial structureupgrading.Additionaly,theyshouldcontinuouslyadjustthefocusof industrialstructureupgradingbasedondiffrences inlocationalconditionsand economicdevelopmentlevels,therebyproviding solidsupportfor high-quality economic development.
