Abstract:Bakanaedisease,caused byFusarium fujikuroi,isa globallyimportant fungal disease ofrice.The pathogen produces gibberelins,cell wal-degrading enzymes,and effctor proteins that interfere with host metabolic processes and suppress immune responses,ultimately leading to elongate seedling growth and reduce yield.This article systematically reviews the applicationof artificial inoculation methods and molecular markerassisted genotyping techniques in the evaluation ofriceresistance to bakanae disease.Itcompares existing screening resultsand evaluationcriteria for resistant germplasmresources,layingan important foundation for in-depth explorationofkey disease-resistant genes andthedevelopmentofresistant rice varieties.Furthermore,in response tochallengessuchasthescarcityofresistantgermplasm,thispaperproposesthatfutureeffortsshouldintegratehighthroughput screening with multi-environment field validation to establishastandardized,reproducible,and widely applicableresistanceevaluation platform forbakanae disease across diverse genetic backgrounds.This will provide a solid basis for further mining of critical resistance genes and the assessment ofresistant resources.
