Sound quality evaluation and ridge regression prediction of in-cabin noise in heavy-duty commercial vehicles

Abstract:To examine in-cabin noise characteristicsunder different load conditions and vehicle speeds, psychophysicalobjective parameters are measured and subjective ratings are obtained through paired-comparison jury tests.The effects offactors such as vehicle model,speedand loadon the in-cabin soundqualityofheavy-duty commercial vehicles are systematically analyzed.Furthermore,an analysis of the correlationsamongacoustic quality parameters under different operating conditions was conducted.Subsequently,a multiple linear regression model isconstructed using ridge regression,in which psychophysical objective parametersserve as independent variables and subjective ratings as the dependent variable.Theresults indicate that ridge regresson significantly reduces multicollinearity while maintaining asatisfactory levelof predictive accuracy,thus providing valuable guidance for sound quality optimization.
