Statisticsand Analysis ofPatent Information in Universities Based on IncoPat

Abstract： [Purposes] This study systematically collects and analyzes the patent information of Henan University of Science and Technology over the past 2O years，aiming to reveal the current situation and trends in patent applications，technological composition，inventor distribution，legal status，and conversion.It provides a basis for improving the patent grant rate，validity，and conversion efciency.[Methods] Using the IncoPat patent retrieval and analysis system，along with bibliometric methods，this study employs command search for data statistics and analysis. It examines the characteristics and issues in the university’s patent development and proposes improvement strategies.[Findings] Through the extractionof basic informationand systematic data organization，itis found that Henan Universityof Science and Technology has achieved certain results in patent application and management，reflected in a large total number of patent applications，concentrated technology fields，concentrated inventors，and a high patent validity rate.However，problems still exist，such as unsatisfactory legal status of patents，concentrated sources of patent output，and low patent conversion eficiency.[Conclusions] Improvements can be made by enhancing the patent grant rate and validity，promoting multi-source innovation， accurately matching resources，and strengthening university-industry collaboration.
