Research on Remote Control Technology of Integrated Automation for 500kV Substations

Abstract: [Purposes] To improve the operational eficiency and safety of 500kV substations,an integrated automation remote control technology for 5OO kV substations is proposed.[Methods] First, system analysis and engineering verification were applied to study key technologies including communication protocols,one-key squential control,and capacitor/reactor groupcontrol; second,asemi-physical simulationplatform was constructed to test system functions and performance,folowed by verification in actual engineering applications to comprehensively evaluate its technical feasibility and operational stability.[Findings] The technology significantly enhanced the automation level of substations,reducing operation response time to 1.5 seconds,increasing equipment utilization rate to 94.7% , improving voltage qualification rate to 98.9 % ,achieving an operation success rate of 99.8% ,and lowering operation and maintenance costs by 35% . [Conclusions] By optimizing the network architecture,improving the security protection system,and strengthening system integration,the reliabilityand safetyof substation remote control were effctively improved,providing reliable support for the intelligent operation of substations.
