Abstract To optimize the comfort of soft support bras,a bra-breast geometric model was constructed based on virtual fiting technology and reverse engineering methods.Material parameters were obtained through fabric tensile tests,and a finite element model was developed to predict the contact mechanical behavior between the soft support bra and the breast. This model includes hyper-elastic breast and soft tissues, a rigid thorax,and bra components such as cups,shoulder straps,and support bars. The results show that when the Young's modulus of the main bra fabric is set to 1.5MPa (204号 and that of the side fabric to 0.5MPa , contact pressures at the shoulders,around the breasts,under bust,sides,and back are significantly reduced. The optimized soft-support bra not only effectively decreases localized pressure on the body but also maintains a good shaping effect for the breasts. The research shows that the integration of virtual try-on technology and finite element analysis effectively overcomes the limitations of traditional simplified models,which inadequately consider the complexity of the human body and bra structures. It also avoids the challenges of relying on a large number of ofline samples in conventional methods. This approach provides technical support for optimizing and rapidly iterating bra designs.
