Abstract：Asoneof the major globalfoodcrops，thesustainabledevelopmentof maizecultivationsystem isimportantfor stabilizing foodsecurityin China.Basedonthecharacteristicsof maizecultivationandthenecessityof itssustainable development，this paper points outtheresourceconsumption and environmental pressurefaced by traditional cultivation methods.Then it proposes a set of assssment methods and indicator systems for the sustainable developmentof maize， covering economic，environmental and social dimensions.Basedonthis，strategies torealize the sustainabledevelopmentof maizecultivationsystemanditsmeasuresarediscussed.Thisstudyisof greattheoreticaland practicalsignificance for guiding maize planting practices and promoting green agricultural development.
