[Abstract]Theaccidental displacement tooth roots into the mibular canal is aserious complication during tooth extractions inoralmaxillacialsurgerytenresultingindirectdamagetothestructuralfunctionalintegity the inferior alveolar neurovascularbundle （IANB）.This article reviews the anatomical features themibular canal， the IANB，adjacenttoothroots;dentifies high-riskfactorsanatomicallyvulnerable sites forrootdisplacement; outlines theclinicalmanifestationsradiographiccharacteristicsintraoperativerootintrusioninto themibularcanal.Furthermore，management principles，surgical approaches techniques，inferioralveolar nerve injurytreatment， prognosticconsiderationsare discussd.Theaimthis review is toprovideacomprehensive clinical reference for improving surgical outcomes， reducing postoperative complications.
