Classification and influencing factors of spiritual climate of nurses in medical oncology based on latent profile analysis

Abstract  Objective：To explore the potential classification of spiritual climate of nurses in medical oncology based on latent profile analysis and to analyze the influencing factors.Methods：A total of 178 nurses in medical oncology from 5 hospitals in Zhejiang province were selected as research subjects by convenience sampling method from December 2022 to April 2023.A general information questionnaire，Chinese version of the Spiritual Climate Scale， and Professional Coping Self⁃Efficacy Scale for Nurses were used to investigate nurses.Latent profile analysis was used to identify the classification of spiritual climate of nurses in medical oncology.Pearson correlation analysis was used to explore the relationship between spiritual climate and professional coping efficiency of nurse.And Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of spiritual climate of nurses in medical oncology.Results：The spiritual climate of nurses in medical oncology was divided into 3 classifications，namely，low⁃level group， relatively fluctuating group，and high⁃level group.And the spiritual climate in the 3 classifications were all positively correlated with professional coping efficiency（P<0.01）.Age，professional title，length of service，average monthly income，and professional coping self-efficacy were the influencing factors of the spiritual climate of nurses in medical oncology（all P<0.05）.Conclusions：The spiritual climate of nurses in medical oncology has obvious classification characteristics.Nursing managers should pay attention to the spiritual climate status of nurses in medical oncology and implement targeted measures based on their influencing factors to improve their professional coping efficiency and overall spiritual climate.
