【Abstract】 The automotive Electronic Power Steering (EPS) system is the core of modern automotive steering technology,featuring higheficiency,energyconservation,environmental protection,and flexibleadjustment.Ithas graduall replaced the traditional hydraulic power steering system and has become the mainstream configuration of automotive steering systems.This paper discusses theroleof the automatic control of automotive EPS systems in enhancing driving experience,ensuring driving safety,and promoting theintelligent developmentofautomobiles.Italsoanalyzes the specific approaches to the automatic control of EPS systems,namelythe optimizationof sensor technology,control algorithms,andactuators.Italsoelaborates indetailonassistcontrol,centeringcontrol,dampingcontrol,intelligent control,etc.,withtheaimofprovidingatheoreticalbasisand practicalguidancefortheautomaticcontrolofEPSsystems and promoting the development of automotive industry technology.
