ABSTRACTMetabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease(MASLD)has become one of the leading causes of chronicliverdiseasesinChinaandevenglobaly.Earlynon-invasivediagnosisandgrading MASLD,along withtimely intervention,recrucialforasessing thediseaseconditionandslowingthediseaseprogression.Inrecent years,nonivasive techniquesforassessingliversteatosiscontentbasedonultrasoundhaveatracedsignificantatention.Theultrasoundderivedfat fraction(UDFF)isanemergingquantitativetechiqueforliverfatassessmentusingultrasound,whichcalculates thepercentage valueoftefatcontentbyanalyzingtheradiofrequencysignalsreflectedfromthelivertissue,therebyquantifyingthedegreeof liversteatosis.UDFFsowssignificant potential inassessing liversteatosis.However,tecurrentapplicationguidelinesbasedon thistechnologydonotyetfullmeettheclinicalneeds.Tofurtherstandardizeitsclinicalapplication,institutionssuchasthe Ultrasound MedicineBranchoftheChineseMedicalAssociation,the National ClinicalResearch CenterforAgingandMedicine, andtheInstituteof UltrasoundMedicineandEngineeringofFudanUniversity,togetherwithmultidisciplinaryexperts ultrasound,endocrinologyadiology,ndhepatologyfromacrossChinahaveformulatedthis“Cineseexpertconsensusonthe useofultrasoundderivedfatfactionintheasssmentofmetabolicdysfunction-aoiatedsteatoticliverdisease(O5dition)” basedonthe lastestclinicalapplicationadvancesofthe UDFFtechnology.Thisconsensus standardizesthe clinical scopeof applicationandscenariosofthistechnology.Itoptimizesthetechnicaloperationprocessinvariousaspects,includingpre examinationpreparation,theoperationprocess,qualitycontrol,thenumberofmeasurementsresultpresentationformat,and influencingfctorsaswelleanile,itsummarizscuentliicalresearchesultsimingtonsurethesandardizationofthe UDFF technology in clinical applications.
