Abstract: Indigenous ethnic minorities including the Zhuang and Yao peoples in Guangxi have fostered a profound ethnic medical culture. Appropriate ethnic medical technologies, represented by Zhuang medicated thread moxibustion and Yao medicated bath, serve as important material carriers of this culture, embodying both cultural value and the value of primary health care services. At present, Guangxi has carried out practical explorations in integrating the inheritance of ethnic medicine with public medical services; however, problems still exist in cultural cognition, institutional and policy-related issues, and other aspects. By reviewing the current situation and problems, this paper proposes a multi-level and multi-dimensional integrated development approach from the dimensions of concepts, institutions, services, educational inheritance, and resource industries. It embeds ethnic medicine culture into the modern public medical service system, aiming to provide a reference for the inclusive development and innovation in cultural inheritance of health services in Guangxi and other multi-ethnic regions across the country.
