The "Intangible Cultural Heritage+Employment for the Disabled" Resonance Model: The Breakthrough Path for the Preservation of Leizhou Stone Dog Culture

Abstract: The discontinuity of intangible cultural heritage inheritance and the employment predicament of people with disabilities constitute two significant issues in contemporary society. However, the inherent coupling of these two aspects provides the possibility for innovative solutions. The Leizhou Stone Dog intangible cultural heritage is currently facing challenges such as the aging of inheritors, difficulty in continuing the skills, and a shrinking market. Meanwhile, people with disabilities are trapped in the reality of scarce job opportunities, insufficient skills, and social discrimination. Based on the empowerment theory and the concept of living inheritance, the "intangible cultural heritage + employment for the disabled" resonance model, through the construction of a four-in-one framework of "skill modularization + training systematization + product marketization + policy coordination," with policy guarantees as the foundation, integrated workshops as the carrier, multi-party collaboration as the mechanism, and cultural tourism integration as the path, provides high-value employment opportunities for people with disabilities through skill disassembly and personalized training. At the same time, through their participation, it injects vitality into the inheritance of Leizhou Stone Dog culture.
