Abstract: In recent years, against the backdrop of rapid development in information technology, artificial intelligence (AI) has become an important means of educational transformation and is being deeply applied in the teaching practice of college English classes. Meanwhile, the inheritance of red local culture is conducive to fostering college students' national self-confidence and pride. Integrating the two into the process of college English teaching is of great significance. It also facilitates the comprehensiveness and diversification of education. Based on the synergy of "AI + teachers", this paper explores how to apply red local culture to college English classes. It hopes to achieve improvements in teaching resources, teaching modes, and teaching effectiveness with the help of AI, bringing some new insights and approaches to the reform and development of college English teaching.
