Abstract: The wave of educational digitalization has created new opportunities for the development of ideological and political education in universities. As vital educational carriers, red cultural resources possess profound educational value when empowered by digital technologies. This paper systematically elaborates on the educational functions of red cultural resources in university ideological and political education and analyzes the inherent characteristics of red cultural resources in the digital era. It further proposes targeted empowerment paths covering resource integration, platform construction, model innovation, and the optimization of evaluation mechanisms. By fully exploring and releasing the educational value of red cultural resources via digital approaches, this study aims to continuously improve the quality of university ideological and political education and consolidate the educational foundation for fostering newcomers of the times who are capable of shouldering the mission of national rejuvenation.
