Abstract: As the spiritual treasure of the Chinese nation, red culture carries profound revolutionary value. Bathed in glorious revolutionary traditions, Heze has fostered precious red memories represented by the military-civilian solidarity in the Dingtao Campaign and the labor strike of workers at the Longyun Iron Mine. Embodied with the red spirit of loyalty, dedication and courageous struggle, Heze’s red culture serves as a crucial resource for cultivating young people’s values and enhancing their national awareness. Based on the local red cultural heritage of Heze and combined with the cognitive characteristics and aesthetic preferences of contemporary youth, this paper expounds the significance and functional value of the digital narration of Heze red culture. It further analyzes the practical problems existing in the current digital narration of Heze red culture and explores life-oriented and youth-friendly digital narrative strategies. The research aims to help young people better understand and recognize Heze red culture and realize the intergenerational inheritance of red genes.
