Diagnostic value of contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance neurography (ceMRN)combined with 3D reconstruction technique for brachial plexus trunk injury

[Abstract]Objective:Toinvestigate thevalueofcontrast-enhancedmagneticresonanceneurography(ceMRN)combined with3Dreconstructiontechniqueinthediagnosisof brachialplexusnerveinjury.Methods:ThesurgicalandceMRNdata of37patientswithbrachialplexusnerveinjurywereretrospectivelyanalyzed,andtheacuracyofceMRNindiagnosingthe locationanddegreeofbrachialplexusnerceinjurywasanalyzed.Results:Comparedwith thesurgicalresults,thesesitvity, specificityandaccuracyofceMRNindiagnosinguppr trunk injuryof thebrachial plexuswere95.45%(63/6),77.78%(14/18) and 91.67%(77/84),those for middle trunk injury were 96.00% (48/50),83.33% (5/6)and 94.64% (53/56),and those for lower trunk injury were 95.56%(43/45),73.33%(11/15)and 90.00%(54/60),with K values of 0.747,0.739 and 0.721, respectively(all P <0.001). The accuracy rate of ceMRN in diagnosing the degree of injury as types A and B was 83.33%(25/30),that for typeCwas92.31%(48/52),for type Dwas88.10%(37/42),andfortype Ewas91.89%(34/37). Conclusion:ThecombinationofceMRNand3Dreconstructiontechniquehashighaccuracyinthediagnosisofbrachial plexus nerve injury.
