This article attempts to start from the research perspective of the sense of order in decoration， analyze the commercial wrapping paper with typical decorative order characteristics in Shanghai during the Republic of China， and classify and summarize the visual forms of wrapping paper decoration at that time， so as to sort out the commercial packaging in Shanghai during the Republic of China. The decorative patterns of paper seem to be orderly under the "unconscious" creation. It is concluded that there are three decorative order laws of symmetry and balance， rhythm and rhythm， contrast and harmony in commercial packaging paper under the traces of the times. It is expected that while in-depth exploration of packaging design in Shanghai during the Republic of China， the use of resource conversion will be carried out to better apply the decorative order and creative rules contained in it to contemporary design practice.
