Huang Hongjiang， who is famous for skin-retained bamboo carvings， studies under the tutelage of renowned painter and calligrapher Shen Maishi. He expresses greatpassions for traditional carving through those artworks made of many materials， such as sealstone， inkstone and porcelain. His carving art demonstrates strong personal style， and his personal aesthetics and charm are revealed in the inheritance of traditional skills. In recent years， throughout the process of carving creation， he dedicates to challenge and exploration forcarved lacquer on large-sized slabs and Chinese lacquers， and integrates personal insistence on “excellence of culture and quality”with new materials.
