Southpaws[左撇子] Rule the White House 左撇子统治着白宫

Three of the past four presidents have been southpaws (left-handed): George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama are all lefties. Only George W. Bush was a righty.

Left-handedness is the preference[优先选择] for the left hand over the right for everyday activities, writing, for example. Only about ten percent of the U.S. population is left-handed, but all three candidates[候选人] in 1992 (Bush, Clinton, Perot) were.

In 2006, researchers at Lafayette College and Johns Hopkins University reported that college-educated, left-handed men are 15-26 percent richer than right-handed men. In his book, Right-Hand, Left-Hand, Chris McManus argues that the brains of left-handers are structured differently from right-handers.

在最近的四任美国总统中,有三位是左撇子:老布什、比尔·克林顿和贝拉克·奥巴马都是左撇子,只有小布什是右撇子。(剩余5068字)
