摘 要：为改进全局主颜色特征在反映空间分布信息方面的不足，提出一种基于局部主颜色特征的图像检索方法，并综合两者的特点提出一种基于MPEG-7全局及局部主颜色描述符的图像检索方法。给出了全局主颜色和局部主颜色的提取方法，详细介绍了MPEG-7标准的颜色评价准则，并以此作为评判检索结果优劣的依据。实验结果表明，综合利用两种特征对图像进行描述及检索，获得了比使用单一特征更好的检索效果。

Image retrieval based on global and local dominant colors in MPEG-7

Abstract:In order to improve the deficiency of global dominant color in describing the spatial relations, this paper firstly proposed a method based on local dominant color, then proposed combining characteristics of color features above, a method based on global dominant color and local dominant color in MPEG-7. Gave the method of extracting global dominant color and local dominant color, and introduced evaluation criterion used in MPEG-7 in detail and used it to evaluate the results. The experimental result shows that the retrieval performance obtained from combined features is superior to that obtained from single feature.
