摘要:本文运用Attardo的言语幽默概论从语言学角度剖析幽默,结合笔者的教学经历说明幽默是展示英语语言独特性和中西文化差异的窗口,将幽默作为教学材料可以增强英语教学的趣味性,培养学生对语言的敏感性和提高学生学习和使用语言技巧的兴趣,从而提升教学效果。

Abstract: By analyzing humor with Attardo's General Theory of Verbal Humor and incorporating the author's own teaching experience, this paper holds that humor functions as a showcase for the uniqueness of the English language and the cultural differences between the West and the East. Using humor to teach English enhances teaching efficacy by adding an element of fun to English lessons, cultivating students?sensitivity to language manipulation and increasing their interest in learning and apply those skills.
